The XeroFlor system has been used for over 50 years, originating in Germany, and making its way to the states in the early 2000’s. Grown on our farm in Central New York, our mats are non-biodegradable, lightweight, low maintenance, economical and easy to install. Our system components can be removed 10,15,20 years down the road to perform roof repairs/new roofing and be reinstalled, making them the most sustainable mat product on the market today. Our sedum mats and green roof system carry a wind uplift certification and are fire resistant. Chatfield Farms and Xeroflor are approved by most major roof manufacturers for single source warranties. Our products have been used and trusted on some of the largest green roofing projects in the country, including the Ford Dearborn Plant in Dearborn, MI and the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
