At CHA, the Sr. Architectural Project Manager works diligently to complete projects within the scope, budget, and schedule. This key role is responsible for managing the overall client relationship including any technical, financial, or logistical issues that may arise. Our Project Managers are skilled collaborators who are experts at problem solving, adapting, and staying calm under pressure. The Sr. Architectural Project Manager sells and develops work with specific clients, ultimately leading to a “seller/doer” dual role, by understanding our client’s challenges, building partnerships with them, and providing creative solutions to those challenges.
The Sr. Architectural Project Manager coordinates contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project related documents. The professional in this role is responsible for all project financials, manages subcontractor payments, and communicates updates to the client, management, and project team during monthly project review meetings with operations.
Additionally, the Sr. Architectural Project Manager develops a specific health and safety plan in coordination with health and safety manager and is responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by Quality Management Plan.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Registered Architect license required
- Minimum 10 years’ experience required including at least 8 years’ project management experience experience required; specific experience with New York State, education, and office building projects a plus
- Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required
- Experience managing project accounting processes to include project budgeting, forecasts and cash management required
- Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
- Ability to track and oversee multiple projects required
- Strong writing, graphic, and verbal presentation skills required
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
- Knowledge of Revit and industry standard rendering software preferred
- Ability to travel in-state as needed required
